My own spiritual awakening began at the age of 19 and in 1995 I made a full time commitment and joined a holistic communty (The Salisbury Centre in Edinburgh). I lived, worked and studied the healing arts and various forms of meditation eventually training in Zen Shiatsu (MRSS), Reflexology, Massage, becoming self employed full time in 2000. Whilst living in the cauldron of transformation of a holistic centre, I realised the error of looking upwards to find union with existence and that “down and in” through the body and the senses is the gateway.
I bring my eclectic studies into my practice, which include: tantra, taoist arts and wisdom, dreamwork, qi gong, and intuitive feminine healing modalities.
Although I have studied with many teachers, my main source is to serve as a catalyst for transformation and awakening. This is not something which can be learned but is inborn, what is known in the Celtic tradition as Anam Cara (soul friend). Many of my clients have described my work as spiritual midwifery. I am a poet, writer and lover of what is wild.
My inspirations include:
Poets: John Carfi, Mary Oliver, Rilke, David Whyte, Hafiz, Rumi, Coyopa, May Sarton, John O’Donoghue.
“Poetry is language against which we have no defences’. David Whyte
Spiritual teachers/ influences : The ocean, Nature, Osho, David Deida, Adyashanti, Carl Jung, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Joko Beck, Pema Chodron, Shizuto Masanaga (founder of Zen Shiatsu), Joseph Campbell, Bill Plotkin.
